Project lead consultant, includes website design, implementation and maintenance; blog posts, managing social media channels and post, delivering webinar training events, in person conferences, creating toolkits, statistical bulletins, e-newsletters and overall marketing and promotion of this resource inventory hub.

Researched, wrote and marketed this tool for anyone working with and supporting refugee claimants in BC

Managed all aspects of the project including video production, planning and designing the two-day consultation with newcomer refugee youth, working with all stakeholders and contractors, organizing all speakers and graphic facilitator, recruiting participants to attendee, registration and promotion, event catering, and compiling all information from consultation into a final report that was disseminated nationally.

In 2020, ISSofBC launched "Welcome to our Homelands," an engaging seven-minute video and study guide designed to introduce newcomers to the First Nations of Canada. Blue Tree Project Solutions managed the entire project, coordinating all contractors to successfully produce the video, create the study guides, and oversee translations into 16 languages, including Spanish, Farsi, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, and Punjabi. The video was produced by Kamala Todd, and the study guide was written by Kory Wilson.
This project is part of ISSofBC’s ongoing commitment to increasing newcomer education and awareness of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. The video and study guide highlight the richness of Indigenous values and culture, providing valuable information to enhance awareness of the First Nations across Canada. The translations aim to be a useful resource for newcomers to better understand the history of British Columbia.

Researched, wrote and developed content for this e-course; supporting in raising awareness and promotion with an online webinar.
The training course identifies different refugee categories in Canada, stages of refuge and resettlement stress factors that contribute to mental health challenges for Refugees. It describes approaches and practical tools for assessing refugee trauma and addressing mental health needs. The course will help front-line workers recognize the signs and symptoms of vicarious trauma/burnout and best practices for self-care.
Selection of Projects
In 2021, co-conducted a feasibility study for the Vancouver Immigration Partnership for The Federal Government - Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) which led to the multi-year funding for this Local Immigration Partnership (LIP)
Researched and organized reports with North Shore Immigrant Inclusion Partnership (NSIIP), regarding the impact of different economic situations in the North Shore.
Selection of Projects
Created an inventory of best and innovative practices from organizations across Canada who were instrumental in supporting in the welcoming of Ukrainian families. The inventory captures best practices to apply it to future groups of newcomer arrivals during a national humanitarian effort. Additionally, held webinars highlighting some of the projects from different regions, while focusing on different themes to foster sharing and connection with organizations across the country.
